Where they started

Wasool set out to give Pakistani small and medium businesses one place to run the paperwork of a business — invoicing and inventory — while staying on the right side of the FBR's digital-invoicing rules. The catch is that FBR compliance isn't a feature you bolt on later. An invoice is either registered, verifiable, and correctly formatted, or it isn't valid at all.

They needed to be in market quickly, but couldn't ship something that produced non-compliant invoices. Speed and correctness usually pull against each other; here both were non-negotiable.

What we built

We built the first version end to end and had a working MVP in four weeks — invoicing, inventory, and the FBR digital-invoicing integration wired in from the start rather than retrofitted.

• FBR digital-invoicing integration — invoices registered and validated against the compliance rules, not approximated.
• QR-verified invoices generated in seconds, so a compliant document is the default output, not extra work.

Building the compliance path first is what made the four-week timeline safe. The hard, unforgiving part was in place before the convenient parts were layered on top.
