Founded 2018. Clients stay for years.
bytesquad exists because most products that die at the growth stage don't die from a bad idea. They die from a stack that couldn't keep up.

Deliberately narrow.
bytesquad was founded in 2018 to do one kind of work well: data-heavy products and the cloud systems behind them. Since then the pattern in our client list has stayed consistent — sports analytics, financial data, construction operations, invoicing and compliance. Products where the value is the data, and where the data got bigger than the tools it started in.
We don't do mobile games, brochure sites, or brand campaigns. We build pipelines, platforms, and the infrastructure that keeps them fast when real users show up.
Two numbers describe the company better than any paragraph. Founded 2018. Client retention since founding: around 90%. Roughly nine in ten engagements continue into long-term support — the ones that end usually get acquired or wind down, not because the work stopped. We measure client relationships in years, not projects.
That isn't a growth strategy — it's a constraint. Staying on means we can only take work we're prepared to live with for years, which is why we turn down more than we accept.
Work we take
- Platform rebuilds off WordPress, Sheets, Airtable, Retool
- Data pipelines, warehouses, and query performance
- AWS architecture and cost work
- First versions of data-heavy products
Work we don't
- Mobile games and consumer entertainment apps
- Brochure sites and brand campaigns
- Staff augmentation by the seat
- Anything quoted before we've read the system

- Former VP of Engineering
- NUST / SEECS alumnus
- Still hands-on in code
bytesquad is run by an engineer, not an account manager.
Advice about architecture is only worth something when the person giving it has to live with the consequences. Ali scopes every engagement personally, and the engineers who scope the work are the engineers who deliver it. There is no sales layer and no handoff — the person who told you the plan is accountable for the plan.
It also shapes what we won't do. We don't take work outside our territory, and we don't quote a number before we understand the system. Both habits cost us projects. They're also why most clients stay with us for years.
The terms, before you ask.

Talk to us.
If your product is straining under real usage — or you're about to build one that will face it — describe the situation and you'll get a straight answer about fit.
